A 6x6-foot footprint covers about 36 square feet of usable shaded area — enough room for a single bench, a small bistro table, or a focal-point arbor over a path. Below are every published plan at this footprint, including freestanding and (where applicable) attached variants.

For planning, allow at least 24 inches of clearance on every side for furniture pull-out and unobstructed walking paths. If you intend to grow climbing plants, plan for an additional 18-24 inches of overhang clearance because mature wisteria, grapevine, and climbing roses produce a dense canopy beyond the structural perimeter.
